Washing Instructions
Wool is dirt-repellent and has a self-cleaning property, which means that you should not wash the blanket too often or unnecessarily. It does well if it is aired regularly, preferably in damp weather. The blanket can be washed with wool detergent by hand or on a wool program at 30 degrees. However, we recommend dry cleaning, as large blankets can become heavy in the machine and risk losing their shape.
The Bunad Blanket is inspired by our neighboring country Norway and their beloved folk costumes - bunads, created with great care and craftsmanship.
Just like the classic costumes, the blanket bears traces of a proud tradition: rich wool fabrics, woven ribbons, sashes and embroideries that tell a story of heritage, celebration and belonging.
